I admire the creativity of my top 5 influencers. I find that my style most translates with that of these women as I am constantly learning and evolving.
Tamu Mcpherson, the Milan based fashion blogger of “All the Pretty Birds” and street style star is originally from Jamaica and was raised in NY before relocating. As a native New Yorker with parents also from Jamaica, I can relate on a more cultural level beyond her beautiful spirit and ladylike style. She looks amazing in midi dresses, skirts and suits. Her shoe collection is to die for; and it’s safe to say that I want just about everything in her closet!
Bettina Looney is a London based personal shopper who provides her own personal shopping services to clients in London and all over the world directly from her Instagram! As we continuously move into a generation dominated by social media and technology, this also holds true with the Fashion industry in its effectiveness to mass market. What I admire most about Bettina’s style is her versatility and her added vintage western flare.
Shiona, also an island girl originally from Bermuda, is a New York based stylist, consultant and costume director .She is popularly known for her signature cropped tops and flowy midi skirts. Shiona’s style is fun, fresh and feminine. Coming from a background in fashion editorial and freelance styling, she is very talented and truly a pillar for the fashion community.
Babba C. Rivera, a Swedish native but now NYC based, is currently the director of brand marketing at her creative marketing agency, By Babba. She helped launch Uber in Sweden; put Away Luggage on the map and even did some fashion collaborations with Rag and Bone a few years back. I love her effortless style that is always both so chic and comfortable. Totally in love with her dog Blue, she can be seem walking him in Gucci slippers or Nike Air Max’s paired with an oversized knit or vintage floral dress.
Linda Tol, the Amsterdam street style star and major fashion influencer, has definitely made her mark over the years. Linda comes from a background of buying and styling. I admire her sleek but slightly androgynous style that never comes off as trendy, but authentic and fashion forward. Linda has her own blog - Linda Tol.com, which she uses as her creative platform. I love how she demonstrates modern minimalism in her oversized suiting and designer kitten heels or ankle booties.
