Chevon C. Smith was born and raised in New York City. Before entering the fashion industry, and declaring it her career; she received a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition. Although she truly values the importance of healthy dieting and lifestyle; it was after her internship shadowing a Dietitian that helped her realize that nutrition was not her true passion. Chevon has always had a keen eye for style and because of this, has always been the “go to” person for any and everything fashion related, for friends, co-workers and family. She describes her style as modern chic, feminine and playful. She loves a good sparkle, anything midi, oversized, and flowy - paired with a kitten heel slingback or ankle bootie. She experiments with different patterns, prints and textures while pulling them together organically yet still sophisticated.

Some of her favorite designers are Johanna Ortiz, Cult Gaia, Simone Rocha, Isabel Marant, Rejina Pyo, The Row, Tabitha Simmons and Zimmerman. Working as a sales assistant and personal shopper at Saks Fifth Avenue part time while in college; it was then that she realized how much fashion truly excited and drove her. Although she enjoyed working as a personal shopper and sales assistant for many years she wanted to take her career in fashion to a new level. Chevon has always been curious about the business side of fashion, what it entailed, and how the selection of merchandise translated into revenue for the store. After multiple conversations with leadership and her own personal research, she decided to pursue Merchandising and Buying, and was soon promoted to Merchant Assistant at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Outside of work, Chevon enjoys weekly yoga classes, visiting museums/art exhibitions and spending time with friends and family over a fun brunch or tasty dinner.
